A direct writer, a reinsurer and an MIB representative will lead a panel discussion on the issue of jumbo breaches. The direct writer will define the issue, describe the history of jumbo limits and how the issue has changed over time. The reinsurer will describe the affect of jumbo breaches on the direct writer and reinsurer relationship and how these issues are handled from their perspective. The MIB representative will describe a study performed for multiple U.S. reinsurers aiming to scope the jumbo limit issue and describe various means the issue could be addressed in the future.
