The Echocardiogram is a noninvasive window to the heart that provides important information about cardiac chamber sizes, valve abnormalities, wall thickness and LV function. During this presentation we will review cardiac anatomy, Echo terminology, types of echocardiography and will utilize a case-based approach to examine Echo findings of common medical impairments evaluated during the underwriting process with emphasis being placed on the interpretation of results and their mortality significance.
