The Many Faces of PTSD

Traumatic events can be experienced in multiple settings, in various degrees, and be responded to with a great deal of variability by the victims. The trauma can be a one-time event or a prolonged experience lasting years. Underwriting this diagnosis requires understanding the source of the trauma, the severity of the response, and the treatment. This session will utilize case studies to review the clinical features, functional consequences, effective treatments, and co-morbid conditions to best evaluate underwriting risks.
