Traumatic events can be experienced in multiple settings, in various
degrees, and be responded to with a great deal of variability by the
victims. The trauma can be a one-time event or a prolonged experience
lasting years. Underwriting this diagnosis requires understanding the
source of the trauma, the severity of the response, and the treatment. This
session will utilize case studies to review the clinical features, functional
consequences, effective treatments, and co-morbid conditions to best
evaluate underwriting risks.
