Generally prescribed for chronic pain conditions, long-term narcotic usage is associated with an increased
mortality risk. You will become familiar with commonly prescribed narcotics and associated favorable
versus unfavorable factors helpful in underwriting these cases. An overview of recent research results
will be presented along with sample case studies.
