Pain, one of the most common complaints in modern medicine, is associated with a wide range of disease,
injury and is sometimes considered a disease itself. Millions suffer from chronic pain of varying severity and
may be subject to treatments with their own inherent risks. An underwriting approach to chronic pain and
risks associated with various treatments, including opioid analgesics and medical marijuana, will be discussed.
