Advances in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Malignancies

Traditional methods of diagnosing and treating cancer has been accepted for years and have been associated with improvements in early detection and successful outcomes. However, as we enter a new era of medical knowledge, these newer, more focused techniques are reaching exciting new heights. This presentation will explore some of these new approaches including early detection as well as targeted and individualized therapies. We will also discuss how these new advances can impact risk selection and mortality. This talk will focus on cancers commonly encountered in underwriting.
