Childhood Obesity: An Epidemic Beyond the Scale

Childhood obesity is a nationwide problem that is affecting the overall health of this generation of children. Typical adult diseases such as Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and obstructive sleep apnea are being diagnosed in obese children, which affects medical cost, morbidity, and certainly mortality. This presentation will detail the impact that childhood obesity has on the risk of developing chronic medical conditions unique to this generation and how these conditions impact their overall longevity.
