The increase in medical usage of marijuana coupled with the trend
toward decriminalization of medical and recreational use could create the
impression that the drug has well understood effects and benefits. In fact,
scientific research on the topic is still at a very early stage. This presentation
will provide an introduction to marijuana and its effects on the human body.
In addition, we will share current clinical evidence for the use of medical
marijuana, discuss the shifting attitudes towards recreational marijuana,
and outline possible implications for the insurance industry.
